City Break Belfast

Day 1 – Belfast

Greeting on arrival in Belfast Airport from our local Guide. Depart for the Titanic Quarter of the city and follow the ‘Titanic Trail’, which takes visitors through the history of shipbuilding in Belfast and the story of the firm which built Titanic, Harland and Wolff. Enjoy the world's only authentic Titanic Boat Tour around the shipyards of Harland & Wolff. Late afternoon check in to the 4 star Wellington Park Hotel, centrally located in the fashionable Malone Road area of Belfast.

Day 2 – Glens of Antrim

After breakfast travel through the beautiful Glens of Antrim. This is a unique area where visitors enjoy many variations in the natural landscape including valleys, beaches, cliffs, plateaus, wooded glens, waterfalls and picturesque villages. Glenariff, the "Queen of the Glens", hosts the spectacular Glenariff Forest Park where there is time set aside to enjoy the spectacular Waterfall Walkway which passes through a National Nature Reserve. Onwards then to the unforgettable and unmistakable Giant’s Causeway, a designated UNESCO world heritage site. Return to Belfast with evening free to explore the city’s restaurants and bars.

Day 3 – County Down & Saint Patrick’s Country

Today we travel south to County Down along the scenic coast of Strangford Lough. En route visit Mount Stewart House and Gardens, the grounds of which encompass one of the greatest gardens on the island of Ireland and which boast dramatic views across Strangford Lough. At the foot of the Ards Peninsula enjoy a short ferryboat crossing to the picturesque village of Strangford and travel towards Downpatrick to the Saint Patrick Centre, an interpretative exhibition which tells the fascinating story of Ireland's Patron Saint. This evening enjoy dinner in The Old Inn in Crawfordsburn. This old coaching inn is a unique venue with the thatched portion of building formed circa 1600 AD.

Day 4 – Farewell

After a final breakfast visit Queen’s University established in 1845 by Queen Victoria. One of the iconic buildings of Belfast’s skyline, Queen’s boats some of the finest architecture in the North. Onwards then to Irish Linen Centre in Lisburn. The Flax to Fabric Exhibition begins in Lisburn's 17th century market house and tells the story of the Irish Linen industry, with skilled demonstrations of hand spinning and handloom weaving and a display of historic linen treasures. Afternoon transfer to the Airport for departure flight home.
