Day 1 – Dublin’s Fair City |

Welcome to Dublin! Your Abbey Tours Guide will greet the group at the airport and take you northwards to visit Malahide Castle. This 800 year old castle is set on 250 acres of parkland in the pretty seaside town of Malahide. After your tour of the castle there is time to relax and enjoy tea and warm scones served with jam and cream. Late afternoon, check in to the Mespil Hotel overlooking the banks of the Grand Canal and just 15 minutes walk from St. Stephen’s Green and Dublin’s lively shopping area, Grafton Street. |

Day 2 – Panoramic City Tour |

After breakfast experience the hustle and bustle of Dublin city. Enjoy a panoramic city tour, visiting the highlights of the city including Guinness Storehouse, home of the ‘black stuff’ as the locals named it. Stroll through the cobbled courtyards of Trinity College which houses the famed 8th century Book of Kells. A visit to the National Museum completes the panoramic tour. Evening at leisure to explore some of the local pubs, restaurants and nightclubs. |

Day 3 – Wicklow |

Today we travel south to County Wicklow, known as the ‘Garden of Ireland’ and visit one of Ireland’s best loved estates, Powerscourt House and Gardens. The gardens date from the 1740s and stretch over 47 acres, blending formal gardens, sweeping terraces and ornamental lakes with rambling walks, walled gardens and over 200 varieties of trees and shrubs. We also visit the early Christian site of Glendalough to learn about St. Kevin’s 6th century monastery and see the ancient round tower, church ruins and Celtic crosses. In the evening transfer to the Merry Ploughboy Pub for a great dinner of Irish specialties, which is followed by a lively show of traditional Irish song and dance. |

Day 4 – Farewell |

Before leaving for the airport we enjoy a Liffey Voyage Cruise, passing under O'Connell Bridge on a journey downstream to the Custom House and Dublin's Dockland area. Transfer to Dublin Airport for departure flight home. |
