Irish Dance Party

The Irish Dance Party is an interactive Irish music and dance event that takes places upstairs in the Oliver St. John Gogarty pub in Temple Bar.  It involves live Irish musicians who perform the best known Irish songs and ballads as well as instrumental music on traditional Irish instruments.  Award winning Irish dancers teach simple group dances to guests as well as performing an array of traditional dances. The show typically lasts two hours and includes explanations on the history of Irish music and dance. It is a great afternoon activity, available to groups 7 days a week.  The show is also available for private hire and can travel to other venues.

Guinness Celebrating 250 Years

This year the Guinness Company celebrates 250 years since the signing of the lease on the world famous St. James’s Gate brewery by Arthur Guinness.  To celebrate this momentous anniversary Guinness Storehouse will unveil a number of new additions to the international visitor attraction including a dedicated 250 Exhibition and a new specialised “History of Stout Tour”.
The new 250 Exhibition is a floor dedicated to celebrating this special year and “Raising a Glass” to Arthur - the man who started it all.  Visitors can see and take home a copy of the original lease and view a specially commissioned short-film showing the story of the Guinness brand.
The “History of Stout Tour" takes participants on a unique, VIP, history focused tour of the Storehouse, partaking in a private tasting session to sample the characteristic flavours of Guinness variants and learn how to pour the perfect pint of Guinness.  The “History of Stout” tour is available to groups of 15 people or more.
